Sneaking on a Green Aercloud will negate its effect, but will cause the player to descend slowly through it. Green Aerclouds will blow any players, mobs, or drops in a random horizontal direction when touched. Sneaking on a Purple Aercloud will negate its effect, but will cause the player to descend slowly through it. Purple Aerclouds will blow any players, mobs, or drops in a specific direction when touched, based on the direction the Purple Aercloud is facing. Sneaking on a Blue Aercloud will negate its effect, but will cause the player to descend slowly through it. The max bounce height from a Blue Aercloud is 7 vertical blocks. Sneaking on a Gold Aercloud will negate its effect, but will cause the player to descend slowly through it.īlue Aerclouds will bounce any players, mobs, or drops upwards high into the air when touched. Gold Aerclouds will send any players, mobs, or drops downwards at a high speed when touched. Their body will be inside the topmost block while their feet will be standing on the block below it.Ĭold Aerclouds will break the fall of any players or mobs that touch it.
When standing on an Aercloud, the player will sink partially into the block. Storm Aerclouds spawn between Y=238 and Y=256 and between Y=40 and Y=55. Green Aerclouds spawn between Y=208 and Y=226, between Y=100 and Y=110, and between Y=25 and Y=35. Purple Aerclouds spawn between Y=226 and Y=246 and between Y=90 and Y=100. Gold Aerclouds spawn between Y=185 and Y=205 and between Y=12 and Y=24.īlue Aerclouds spawn between Y=218 and Y=236, between Y=85 and Y=95, and between Y=5 and Y=15. The types of Aerclouds that spawn are dependent on what height they spawn at.Ĭold Aerclouds spawn between Y=190 and Y=230, between Y=110 and Y=150, and in the Aercloud "sea" at Y=70. Other types can be found as smaller cloud structures at various heights. Cold Aerclouds can be found mainly in a large "sea" that makes up the areas between the Aether's islands. When mined, it will drop itself.Īerclouds of different types can be found in the skies of the Aether. There are multiple colors of Aercloud with different effects.Īercloud does not require any tool to be obtained. Additionally, you might find the most dramatic examples of mammatus clouds ( mamma cloud feature) in the upper portion of a cumulonimbus, caused by pockets of sinking air.Ĭloser to the ground, cumulonimbus clouds are also responsible for shelf clouds ( arcus cloud feature), wall clouds ( murus cloud feature), tail clouds attached to the wall cloud ( cauda cloud feature), a beaver tail cloud that acts like a river of moisture feeding into the storm ( flumen cloud accessory) and even funnel clouds ( tuba cloud feature).Aercloud is a block found as clouds in the skies of the Aether. Above the main cloud, an anvil cloud ( incus cloud feature) can form, where the cloud hits the top of the troposphere and spreads out across the sky. The more potent cumulonimbus clouds can create a handful of cloud features. The top of the cloud might take on a bald appearance ( calvus cloud species), or it can take on a hairy and fibrous upper portion ( capillatus cloud species). Its base can be very low to the ground, and its top can extend to the highest layer of the troposphere. The cumulonimbus cloud is the only cloud that extends through all three cloud levels.
If you’re observing this cloud from a distance, what will stand out most is the cloud’s impressive height.
If you’re looking up at a cloud that’s causing rainy and windy conditions, creating hail, thunder, and lightning, you’re in close proximation of a cumulonimbus cloud.
Description & Characteristics. Cumulonimbus clouds are responsible for stormy weather.
